1970s Robotron Cella Typewriter—Identical to one in Tom Hanks Collection

I admit that these uncommon Robotron "Cella" typewriters were "off my radar" until I saw one in the collection of Tom Hanks. So I found one, and this one is identical to the one in Hanks' collection. Robotrons were produced in East-Germany beginning in 1969 and made some "clones" of Erika typewriters among other things. These Robotrons were produced quite cheaply compared to similar models produced in the non-communist region of Germany, and so were very popular.
This Robotron Cella was probably made in the mid 1970s. It is a fine "typer" despite their relatively low cost.
This one is ready for action as it has been professionally serviced, aligned and adjusted. It comes with a new ribbon and is ready to type! Look at the wonderful curving design of the typewriter body. It has curved indentations on the sides to pick it up and move it. The travel cover has wonderful big red buttons to open and close it. These are great 1970s design details!

Overall, this typewriter is in excellent condition. There are very minimal signs of use and wear on the body. The keys are clean and unmarked by use. The typing action is smooth and light.
Mechanically, it is in perfect working condition. The platen is smooth and clean. The rubber feeder rollers are in top condition, soft and clean. 
This typewriter has a German QWERTZ keyboard. Upon request that can be converted to a more typical QWERTY keyboard. The typeface is Cubic/Techno with 10 characters to the inch (Pica).
The travel cover is in excellent condition. The handle is strong and the hasp works perfectly.
