Your typewriter comes with the "Acme" lead certification seal which permanently identifies it as a genuine Acme-restored typewriter and provides for a one-year warranty at no charge. In terms of an investment, the Acme Seal proves that this machine was restored in 2023 by the Acme Type Machine Company. This can add value in the event that you wish to sell this typewriter in the future.
We have restored dozens of these Princess typewriters over the years and I am always impressed by the overall high quality, mechanical design and the smoothness with which they operate. As an example, the ribbon colour selector switch on the left is as cool as they come. When you switch to red or no-colour a little colour-block comes into the glass window above the switch. Tabs are set (and removed) at the touch of a finger with the special key on the right side.
This typewriter is working perfectly. The gold Princess logo is bright and shiny. All the chrome is in fine condition. The keytops are in excellent condition with no fingernail scratching. The painted finish only has the tiniest of blemishes and these few are generally located at the back side of the typewriter. .
The lovely, blue case is in fine condition. The hasp works perfectly. The interior lining is overall in very good condition with only light wear. The exterior of this lovely faux-leather case is in excellent, original condition with only slight signs of wear and usage.
The keyboard is QWERTY with keys for European languages. The typeface is a lovely Pica (10 cpi).
