SORRY, SOLD! 1962 Erika Model 12 Typewriter

A wonderful and very rare cream-coloured ERIKA Model 12 typewriter in pristine condition from 1962. Comes complete with original case in exceptionally fine condition.
It has a new platen for soft typing and has been professionally adjusted and cleaned.  In superb condition cosmetically and mechanically. This typewriter has not been repainted; it is all original. This particular typewriter is an indescribable light colour: Summer Straw?, Sahara Sand? The lovely brown colour of the keys are...what? Cinnamon brown?, Nut brown?
The styling is sublime, the typing action is springy and fast, yet solid to the touch. Erika typewriters are well-known and well-respected for the unique lever system they have for typing. This system gives a more relaxed "touch" than standard typewriters. The lovely brown colour of the keys add a rich counterpoint to the colour scheme. It has an original QWERTY international keyboard with accents for European languages and the typeface is a beautiful Erika Elite (12 cpi). It has a new ribbon and is ready to type.

Overall, this typewriter is in top condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. All keys type as new, the platen-roller, as mentioned, has new rubber. The body finish is in excellent condition with almost no signs of age or use. The Chrome is in perfect condition. The rubber feet and paper feeder rollers are in excellent and soft condition.
This Model 12 comes with the original "leather" case. The case is in superb condition externally and internally.  Many Erika cases have deformed bases (a design flaw) which makes transport difficult. This case is in perfect condition with no deformity.
The paint is all original, as are all other aspects of this beautiful typewriter.
