1962 Blue Bird Model 18B, Two-Tone, Typewriter

This is certainly the finest Blue Bird Model 18B typewriter that I have found in many years. And it has the much-desired two-tone blue/gray colour scheme. It is in, essentially, perfect condition and is working like new. It comes with the original case, branded dust-cover, user handbook, two original metal ribbon spools, erasing template, a cleaning brush and polishing cloth—all original! 
The cosmetic condition is as you see in the photos. Gorgeous!  The paint finish is just perfect with no discolouration. The chrome is in perfect condition. The rubber feet have been replaced and now they grip the desk well.
The typeface is Pica (10 characters to the inch) and correctly aligned (see typing sample). The keyboard is original QWERTY. It comes with a new ribbon on the metal spools so you can start typing immediately.
The case is in exceptionally nice condition with no staining on the insides (as is common) and only the tiniest nicks and bumps on the exterior. The zipper works perfectly.
The Blue Bird-branded dust-cover is in new-like condition with no tears or wear at all. 
This is the Model "B", which has the tabulator system—it was "top-of-the-line" for the Blue Bird typewriters of the period.
When comparing this typewriter with other similar ones, please note carefully:
—The rubber feet have been replaced (these are commonly quite deteriorated on Model 18's).
—The carriage return lever has no corrosion of the chrome plating (this, too, is common on Model 18's).
—The 2-tone colouring is all-original. This typewriter has NOT been painted over.
—The zipper on the case is intact and works perfectly
—This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, adjusted, lubricated and aligned.
