1958 Alpina SK24 Typewriter

We are pleased to offer this amazing, cream-coloured, Alpina typewriter in superb condition with a QWERTY keyboard. This is a rare, Alpina SK24 from 1958, considered by many to be a masterpiece of design, both mechanical and aesthetic. This typewriter has been fully restored and conserved to our highest standards. This is the original colour and finish; it has not been repainted. This typewriter is truly a "statement" on the desk of any serious screenwriter, journalist, novelist or even the occasional letter-writer. 
In superior cosmetic condition and working perfectly. The original colour is uniform everywhere on the typewriter (despite what appears in my poor photographs...) and the finish is in wonderful condition overall. The keytops are unscratched and the platen is clean, smooth and makes a lovely imprint (again, despite my bad typing in the photo). The paper feed rollers and the rubber feet are in excellent condition.
The typeface is Pica, with 10 characters to the inch. The keyboard is QWERTY and has additional keys for European languages. It has a new bi-colour ribbon installed on two original metal ribbon spools, and, despite the photo, can type in red and black. This fabulous typewriter comes with the original case in excellent condition.

It comes with the "Acme" lead certification seal attached to the typewriter which permanently identifies it as a genuine Acme-restored typewriter. We have a one-year mechanical warranty on all typewriters sold and provide careful and attentive after-purchase advice and assistance from the date of purchase to the end of eternity to ensure your full satisfaction. In terms of an investment, the Acme Seal proves that this machine was restored by the Acme Type Machine Company. This can add value in the event that you wish to sell this typewriter in the future. 
 
Mechanically it is in perfect working condition. It has been fully cleaned, adjusted, aligned and lubricated for years of future use.
