SORRY, SOLD! 1963 Hermes 3000 Typewriter with elegant Elite typeface

A beautiful, professionally restored Hermes 3000 with QWERTY keyboard and a NEW PLATEN.  Fully restored and working perfectly! 
This particular HERMES 3000, is in lovely condition, mechanically and cosmetically, and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. The typewriter has been fitted with a new ribbon so you can start typing immediately. This is a typing machine that is ready to work for many good years of typing service. And with its brilliant Hermes engineering, it does that with elegance, smoothness and solidity.
The cosmetic condition is excellent. The chrome and aluminum are in top condition with no signs of corrosion. The typing keys are clean and unmarked by use. Both platen roller knobs are absolutely solid.  The platen rubber, as noted, has been replaced with new rubber by the oldest rubber factory in the Netherlands. Mechanically, this Hermes is working like new.

Mechanically, it is in excellent working condition. The paper feeder rollers are in perfect condition and soft. The feet are in excellent condition, soft and still grip the desktop well. All mechanical devices have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. Everything on this typewriter is original to its manufacture and original purchase except the new platen rubber.
The case/cover is in very fine condition with only the barest signs of use on the exterior. The chrome pieces are shiny and bright as new and the handle is clean and intact. This Hermes comes with the original, Hermes-branded cleaning brush.
The keyboard is QWERTY with extra character keys and accent keys for foreign languages--especially useful for French and German. The typeface is Hermes Elite with an uncommon 13 characters to the inch.  Typical Elite is 11.5 characters to the inch. This somewhat smaller font makes for a very elegant look.
