SORRY, SOLD! 1960 Olympia SM4 Typewriter with New Platen

This Olympia SM4 typewriter is in, really, flawless condition mechanically and cosmetically and it comes with a New Platen! It has been professionally serviced, aligned and adjusted comes with a new ribbon and is ready to type! It has been adjusted to have a softer and lighter touch than Olympia's generally have. With a standard QWERTY keyboard, it comes with a carrying case in excellent condition, cleaning brush, a new platen, and a new bi-colour ribbon.
Look at the texture of the body finish. This is a good sign of what condition a typewriter is in. The finish on this one is unworn as is common with many older Olympias. The shifting mechanism and key-tension have been adjusted to make typing as light as possible. 
For many, the Olympia SM4 is considered to be the "King of the Typewriters". It is one of the most well-engineered, solid, durable and usable typewriter models ever manufactured. The SM series of typewriters from the Olympia factories in Germany are considered by many to be the "gold-standard" of what a modern portable typewriter should be. The SM4 is probably the pinnacle of that technical excellence and engineering brilliance among the SM models. It is perfect for a fast typer, or a slower one.

Mechanically it is working perfectly, as originally manufactured. Cosmetically, it has basically, no flaws at all. The chrome is in top condition as is the overall finish. The colouring is completely uniform, unmarred by sun-fading or overuse. The rubber on the feet and feeder rollers is in top condition and still appropriately soft.
The keyboard is original QWERTY, and the typeface is the ever-so-handsome Olympia Elite (11 c.p.i.). It comes with a new ribbon so that you can start typing immediately. The platen rubber has been replaced by the oldest rubber factory in the Netherlands. 
The case is in nearly perfect condition with shiny chrome on the top and minimal signs of use or wear.
